The purpose of this article is to look at the medication tracker and go through each individual function. Each button will be linked to a corresponding number below.
1. Medication List - For in depth details on this button please see the article >> Medication List
2. Create medication Event- See article >> Creating a Medication Event
3. History- Please see the article >> Medication-History-Client
4. Stop All Medication- By clicking this button; all medication will be discontinued from the point of selecting "stop all" for this client. There is also a "reason for stopping" field to enter any notes required.
5. EMAR Audit- You can read more about the EMAR audit via the article here >> Auditing-EMAR-Charts
6. Column Visibility- You can decide what information you want to view /hide. This ranges from name, details, number, dose, total dose, form, route and dates. Just select/deselect the information you prefer to view.
7. Month View- Users can view the medication for the month ahead
The tracker accommodates this by adding the remaining month dates to the column visibility option below.
8. Mandatory Medication- By hovering over the exclamation symbol- the system alerts you to a mandatory medication. For more information on updating medication from the carer app perspective see article >> -App-Med-Digital-Tasks-Update
9. Details- By clicking the + symbol; medication details appear for the medication- Ie- 1 tablet 3 times per day as seen in the image below.
10. Edit details- You can use this button to update the details for the medication. Please be advised if you edit the details on the medication tracker to update them on the medication list too.
The table shows medication events from the past 2 days, the present day and 2 days into the future. Each medication event is in chronological order from top to bottom for each medication.
Each time event will have a colour code attached. (Image 1 below)
Once the medication has been verified by the carer via the app, admin has corrected it with the appropriate status or the system recognises it as due/missed- the event will reflect the appropriate colour.
