In Part 2 of creating a schedule, we'll delve further into the calendar view of a client/care worker. To distinguish each event on the calendar, OneTouch has a unique color coding system as well as specific symbols to tell the admin what type of events they're looking at.
Continuing on from Part 1, we had just created a new recurring event series for client Jamie Gate.

Until the schedule is published, the care worker will not see the schedule on their app. This extra step of publishing allows the admin to make any last minute adjustments to the schedule prior to release to the care workers.

Clicking on the "Publish" button releases the schedule to the care worker (via the app schedule or optionally via email) and changes the event colour to a light green shade. A video of publishing a schedule is also available here

Updating the Schedule
Such is the versatility of our scheduling tool, there are various ways with which to update events after creating them.
Edit Event
The first way we'll look at is editing the event by clicking on it directly. Clicking on any of the events from the previous image will display this pop up:

Multi-Select
The above option works for editing an isolated event, all future events or the entire sequence of events. However, admins may need to edit events in different batches - every couple of events, an event that occurs the next 3 Mondays or even events assigned to different care workers. For this, we have the multi-select option.

Multi-Select gives the flexibility of selecting multiple events regardless of when they occur. Once you've multi-selected the events, right click on any one of them to bring up the edit options available to you

The view will return to the client's calendar and the multi-selected events are updated to be from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Notice anything else different about those events?

Drag and Drop
For simple day changes of scheduled events, admins can use the 'drag and drop' feature. Simply left click and hold down on an event while dragging it to a different day. When you click and drag an event from one day to another, the following prompt appears:

Click "Save" to move the single event.

Clicking "Publish" will make the change visible to the care worker Nathan Chadwick. The event will also turn a light green colour like the events around it.
Note: General edits made to already published events will not result in the event having to be published again. Events will only require publishing after point of creation or when drag/drop is used to move an event to a new day as this is effectively the creation of a new event from the carer perspective
See below for a video demonstration of the Drag and Drop scheduling editing feature:
Finally, The OneTouch scheduling system also highlights public holidays. A public holiday is represented on the OneTouch system by highlighting the day in a light blue colour. See below:
