Service Users and Care Workers are required to be assigned an area at point of profile creation. There's no specific theme that can be used to define an area for a service user or care worker, it could be geographical, service based or just a generic "Area 1" title.
In this instance we'll create an area called "Test Area 3". If it's the case that you have no areas set up, see instructions below.
From the Main Dashboard, look for "Company Settings" on the left hand navigational panel at the bottom of the page:

On the following page, look for "Area Settings":

Having clicked on that, look for "Add New Area" on the top right hand side of the page

On the next page, an Area table appears. This allows for editing of already existing areas on the system. In this example, we're creating a new area, so click on "Create New Area" on the top right hand side of the page.

A prompt appears to add a new area. The "Area Name" field is required. There are 3 optional fields to provide information on the relevant Admin but this is not required.

Once the area name is provided, click "Add New Area" to create the new area.
Your area has now been created. This will appear in the area dropdown list in future, when creating a service user or care worker.
It is also possible to create areas via the Branch Setup page. For more information on this please see the Branch/Workgroup/Area creation article
